Preparing your school portal
Understand the supported address, the login appearance and the steps behind an active portal.
Use a supported subdomain beneath a domain your school controls. The setup checks domain ownership and prepares HTTPS. Root domains, wildcard addresses and proxied DNS records are not supported by this workflow.
The custom-domain login supports a school logo and up to 300 characters of plain-text welcome copy. Logos can use a still PNG, JPEG or WebP image up to 2 MB; the system resizes the image to fit and counts it towards school storage.
The address moves through DNS ownership verification and HTTPS preparation before it becomes active. Domain availability also follows the school’s eligible subscription or trial. The settings show the current stage and the action needed.
An existing active portal can remain available while its replacement is prepared. Supported invitation and recovery links use the active primary domain, while the school’s management and billing access retains its platform fallback.
