Retain the issued edition
Later changes to marks or comments do not silently rewrite the report that was issued to families.
A clear correction. A history that stays intact.
Keep a dependable record of what your school issued, even when a correction is needed. Prepare the change as a new edition, retain the reason and follow it through review and publication.

A new complete-report edition brings the corrected content together for review. Approval, private document preparation and release remain deliberate steps, with current sources checked along the way.
One report. A visible sequence.
The original issued report stays intact while staff prepare its replacement. When the new edition is published, the earlier release becomes a superseded edition in the history.

The replacement is prepared and reviewed as a new complete-report edition.
Publishing the replacement marks the prior release as superseded and keeps the sequence clear.

Managing a report after release
Understand what changes, what is retained and how your team controls the next release.
An issued report keeps its captured content and document. A later change in the learning evidence can inform a new working result and correction edition; it does not rewrite the earlier release.
Submitting a correction requires the assigned complete-report preparation responsibility and explicit correction authority. The new edition then follows the school’s review rules. A reviewed workflow requires a different assigned reviewer to approve the preparer’s content.
The new publication becomes current and the prior release is marked superseded. The retained history keeps both editions identifiable, and authorised families can open the available superseded edition history.
Authorised staff can withdraw an issued edition with a reason. That edition becomes unavailable through the family reader, while retained staff document access requires academic audit authority. Withdrawal cannot recall a copy already downloaded.
