Results evidence
& imports

Behind every result, a record you can follow.

Give each reported result a basis your team can explain. Follow released assessment evidence, review the school’s calculation and bring prepared comments into reporting through a checked import.

A clear path from learning to reporting

See the evidence.
Understand the result.

Inspect the released source

See the assessment, date, outcome and source revision behind the pupil’s reporting evidence.

Explore marking & feedback

Understand the calculation

Review evidence buckets and task weights against the selected school policy, with issues visible when the calculation is incomplete.

Explore grading definitions

Keep the attributed revision

Return to captured subject results, their author, preparation reason and review state, including whether they still match current evidence.

Prepared in a spreadsheet. Checked before saving.

Bring in the comments.
Keep the review deliberate.

Download a draft CSV for an assigned subject, prepare the supported fields and validate the file before applying it. The preview identifies the pupil and subject and shows exactly which draft fields will be saved.

  • Import subject comments, descriptors, effort and school forecasts.
  • Resolve validation errors and review every proposed row.
  • Save valid rows as drafts for the usual submission and review workflow.

For a numeric subject

Follow the thread.
From assessment to subject result.

A useful result carries enough context for a teacher or reviewer to explain how it was reached.

  1. 01

    Released assessment

Use the eligible released mark and its recorded assessment date.

  2. 02

    School reporting rule

Apply the selected evidence buckets and calculation method.

  3. 03

    Calculated outcome

Review the resulting percentage and its school grade band.

  4. 04

    Captured revision

Retain the attributed subject result and its supporting source context.

For your team

A shared basis
for a better reporting conversation.

Teachers

Explain the result with confidence.

Review released evidence, prepare comments and save supported draft fields through the import workflow.

Subject reviewers

Follow the detail behind the grade.

Inspect calculation issues and retained result revisions before making a review decision.

Reporting leads

Keep preparation consistent.

Give staff a clear source of evidence and a checked route for importing prepared reporting text.

Working with evidence and imports

What can be calculated, imported and reviewed?

Understand where marks come from, which fields a CSV can change and how the preview protects the reporting workflow.

Can we import marks from a spreadsheet here?

This import handles supported reporting draft fields, including comments, descriptors, effort and school forecasts. Numeric marks continue to come from eligible released assessment evidence.

What does the evidence view show?

It shows the current calculation, assessment dates, evidence buckets, released outcomes, task weights and source revisions. Retained subject-result revisions include the attributed author, preparation reason, review state and whether the source evidence is still current.

How much can one draft import contain?

Use a UTF-8 CSV of up to 25 pupil-subject rows and 256 KiB. Download the relevant subject group first, retain its identifiers and source details, then validate and inspect the proposed fields before applying.

Does applying an import submit the reports?

Applying a valid preview saves drafts. Each row is checked again before the batch is saved, and a failed validation prevents the batch from being applied. Submission, approval and publication remain explicit later steps.
