The right room starts
with a useful record.

A classroom profile keeps the practical information close to the space it describes, whether it is a general teaching room or a specialist facility.

  • Identify the building, floor or other useful location.
  • Record capacity and relevant equipment or facilities in notes.
  • Update status when the room’s availability changes.

Managing teaching spaces

What should your team know about a room?

Explore room details, directory settings and how availability affects classroom selection.

Can we record laboratory equipment and room facilities?

Yes. Use the room notes to describe practical details such as laboratory benches, display equipment, workstations or preparation-room access.

Can we customise and export the classroom list?

Yes. Authorised staff can choose supported directory columns, and the classroom list provides a CSV export.

What happens when a room is unavailable?

Set the room to Unavailable or Inactive as appropriate. Scheduling offers active physical rooms for classroom selection; existing scheduled sessions should be reviewed separately.

Can we remove a room that has already been used?

A room linked to scheduled classes is archived rather than deleted, retaining the classroom record for those sessions. An unused room can be deleted by authorised staff.
