Assign reporting duties and hand over a class

Who can use this: Staff administrators with reporting assignment authority in the relevant school or branch.

Before you start

Reporting duties are dated and scoped. A reporting-only handover does not give access to teach the LMS course.

Assign reporting duties and hand over a class

  1. Open the cycle’s responsibilities and choose the staff member, duty and applicable subject or cohort.
  2. Assign a subject preparer, cohort tutor, reviewer or publisher as required. Choose current-teaching scope or an explicit reporting-only handover and set its effective dates.
  3. Save the responsibility with the required reason and check that the person has the corresponding permissions.

What happens next

Authorized staff can work on the reporting tasks covered by their current duty records.

Troubleshooting

Permissions alone do not create a subject or cohort assignment. Expired duties can block a scheduled release. Check whether a time field is shown in UTC before entering a handover boundary.
