Before you start
Use the selected student’s quiz settings. Answers already released for the quiz prevent new attempts.
Give extra quiz time or another attempt
- Open the quiz’s student tools and select the student.
- Set extra attempts or additional time and provide the required reason. Review whether the change applies to new attempts or explicitly extends a current active attempt.
- Save the settings and check the student’s effective closing window and allowance.
What happens next
The selected student receives the permitted accommodation or new-attempt allowance.
Troubleshooting
An expired attempt cannot be reopened; allow a new attempt where permitted. Extra time cannot bypass the effective closing time. If answers have been released, duplicate the quiz for new work instead.
