Before you start
Prepare the questions and marking rules before publication. Published question content cannot be edited in place.
Create, preview and publish a quiz
- Create a quiz for the course, enter instructions and choose opening, due and closing dates, attempts and any time limit.
- Add single-answer multiple-choice, true/false or written questions with their marks. Keep model answers and explanations in the staff answer fields.
- Preview the quiz without starting a real student attempt. Publish it to the intended eligible enrolled students when ready.
What happens next
Assigned students can start attempts under the published quiz rules.
Troubleshooting
Multiple-choice questions need two to ten options. Automatic score release is for objective quizzes; written responses require marking. Duplicate a published quiz as a draft when its questions need to change.
