Before you start
The LMS overall summarizes released scored results. It is not an issued academic report or an automatically final course grade.
Understand the course gradebook overall
- Open Gradebook and check the included assessments and released results.
- For an unweighted overall, compare total earned points with total possible points. If every included scored assessment has a positive weight, compare the normalized weighted percentages instead.
- Review excused or unreleased work separately. If some scored assessments are weighted and others are not, resolve that mixed setup before expecting an overall.
What happens next
The overall reflects the applicable released evidence and the course’s consistent weighting approach.
Troubleshooting
Excused and unreleased results are excluded from the LMS overall. Academic Reporting can use stricter completeness rules and its own subject policy, so its result need not match the LMS display.
