Choose form settings and response rules

Who can use this: Staff and teachers with Forms access and the required permission for this form.

Before you start

Choose the form’s ownership and audience carefully. General form responses and verified student registration are different workflows.

Choose form settings and response rules

  1. Review ownership scope, audience and duplicate-response options.
  2. Enter plain-text header, footer, confirmation and closed-form messages.
  3. Set optional opening, closing and maximum-response settings.
  4. Review staff and respondent email switches, then save and publish intended changes.

What happens next

The form uses the accepted response and availability settings.

Troubleshooting

The ownership scope is fixed after the first save. Use a new form for a different scope. Email and storage allowances also apply to Forms.
