Move an item between modules
Who can use this: Teachers and staff with access to the course.
Before you start
Both modules must belong to the course and be editable by you. Moving an item publishes changes to both modules.
Move an item between modules
- Open the move action for the module item and choose its destination.
- Select Preview move. Read the source and destination previews, including any other pending draft changes.
- When both previews are correct, select Publish both modules and move item.
What happens next
The item appears in the destination module and is removed from the source published sequence.
Troubleshooting
A duplicate activity in the destination or an unavailable underlying activity can block the move. Resolve pending edits before confirming; do not use this action if the other draft changes should remain unpublished.
