Return, revoke or replace a certificate

Who can use this: Assigned reporting staff with the relevant permissions.

Before you start

Choose the action appropriate to the certificate’s state. Keep the reason and original record for history.

Return, revoke or replace a certificate

  1. Open the certificate and review its current eligibility, approval and issuance state.
  2. Return it for correction before issue where permitted, or revoke an issued certificate with a clear reason when access must end.
  3. Prepare a replacement through a new version and its required approval and issuance steps.

What happens next

The certificate history records the original decision and any correction or revocation.

Troubleshooting

Revocation blocks future ordinary downloads but cannot remove copies already downloaded. A replacement is not an overwrite of the original issued document.
