Enable school certificates and external results
Who can use this: Academy-wide staff administrators for feature setup; authorized staff for campus certificate definitions.
Before you start
School certificates and external awarding-body results have separate settings and workflows.
Enable school certificates and external results
- Open Settings > Certificate and result setup and enable the required school-certificate and external-result features.
- Open Certificates and external results > Certificate definitions. Choose the campus and enter the award code, title, approval workflow, teacher issuance policy, eligibility requirements, signatory and language settings.
- Review the policy before selecting Create certificate definition. The new definition is active immediately. Later changes use Create policy revision and retire the previous definition; existing certificates retain their original policy.
What happens next
Authorized staff can use the enabled award workflows with an explicit certificate policy.
Troubleshooting
Enabling a feature does not issue certificates or verify external results. Teacher issuance still depends on the necessary permission and scope. External results should preserve the awarding body’s exact result.
