Configure a numeric or judgement subject policy
Who can use this: Staff administrators with reporting configuration authority in the relevant school or branch.
Before you start
Agree the attainment method, scale and any permitted exceptions. Attainment is required; narrative fields are optional.
Configure a numeric or judgement subject policy
- Create a subject policy draft using numeric evidence or teacher judgement, and select its grading scale.
- For numeric evidence, configure buckets totaling 100 percent and choose pooled points or explicit task weighting. Decide whether Not assessed or a reasoned attainment override is permitted.
- Save, review and activate the policy. Assign its version to the cycle’s subject.
What happens next
The subject has explicit rules for evidence, attainment and permitted exceptions.
Troubleshooting
Do not mix previous-period percentages and LMS assessment evidence in a way that counts the same work twice. A policy allowing an exception still requires the preparer to choose and justify it.
